So I was listening to my Christian radio station down here yesterday, when an ad for a business impact partner came on the radio. The tagline for this business partner said that they believe the following:
"Hands that serve are holier than lips that pray."
For some reason, that caught me the wrong way. Putting some thought into it hasn't really led to anything conclusive on my part. Any thoughts? Why would this be true? Why would it be false? Is one better than the other? Or does it all come down to just motive?

Perhaps the idea is that we are using our actions to show are love for God. However, they are using this words in a very flippant way.
Jesus was a prime example of servant leadership as well as someone who went away and prayed to God.
hands that do are no holier then lips that pray. one is not better then the other. we are the body of Christ we need all our parts to work.
praying doesn't now always have an obvious sign that it "worked" some times God may use our prayers to help people we have never met and will never meet till heaven.
in ted Dekker's book a child called blessed dekker gives an idea of how god can sometimes use the power of prayer. the characters are praying, not for anything specific they are just praying. god shows them that because of their prayers different things happen including a little orphan in India find food.
this song forgot that the prayers of a righteous man get a whole lot done.
